Refresher Training and Renewal Are Different

Periodic refresher training For private license holders, refresher training takes place in the second year of the license period according to the official service page. Check your personal notice and deadline before booking. License renewal Renewal takes place in the third year. Official reminders begin three months before expiry; complete the process before the recorded expiration date. An ordinary training session does not automatically constitute refresher training or renewal. Confirm the required track and completion document.

Review current eligibility requirements and prepare the documents listed in the official service page. These may include identification, a signed health declaration and evidence supporting your eligibility criterion. - Read current requirements before applying. - Follow the application through the government service. - After conditional approval, confirm the required training and documents with a licensed range.

Before your visit — paperwork and preparation

- Check your licence expiry and the instructions sent to you. - Download your personal forms from the government system rather than using an old copy. - For a refresher, prepare the authorisation and requested documents. If your health has changed, check the updated declaration requirement. - For renewal, follow the official service steps and prepare the forms and fee receipt where required. - Arrange attendance at an authorised range and confirm which identification and licensing documents to bring. Keep medical and identifying documents in official channels. A general enquiry on this website does not need those attachments.

Compare Range Services and Coordinate

1. Define the request: refresher training or renewal, preferred date and convenient region. 2. Compare equivalent packages: request the total price and an itemized list of included training, ammunition, protective equipment, photography and documents as applicable. Check government fees and extra charges separately. 3. Confirm in advance: date, address, duration, availability and change or cancellation conditions. Verify advertised prices directly with the range. 4. Keep the completion document: check official reporting and license validity with the competent authority. Booking an activity does not constitute government approval of license renewal.

Personal Dates — What to Record

Keep the issue date, current cycle start, license expiry, last training type and date, and the deadline specified in your official notice. Record a booked training date separately. For personal planning, set reminders three months, one month, one week and one day before the target. Reminders do not change the official deadline; adding 18 months alone does not establish your personal due date. The readiness gauge displays configured account data. If the policy or base date is missing, contact the club manager.

Check your notice and licence expiry. If the route is unclear, ask the Firearms Licensing Department before arranging a date.
