Chapter 1 — The story of Koach Hatzafon
Chapter 1
The story of Koach Hatzafon
The need, the founding, the vision and today.
The need
Where it all began
There are moments in life when you realize you can't just carry on as usual. After the events of October 7th, the idea was born to build a professional, accessible framework for armed citizens in the north.
The Koach Hatzafon community was founded after the events of October 7th, out of a deep understanding of the need for strength, support and a safe space for anyone called on to protect their home.
It was founded by Dor Ben Hamo, a civilian firearms instructor, fighter and northern resident, who saw firsthand the growing need among armed citizens for accessible, professional training.
The community was built together with friends from the north — not another buying group, not another crowded WhatsApp chat, but a real community where people meet, train, learn and grow stronger together.
Today we work to advance professionalism, training, meaningful events and member benefits — a community that keeps growing.
“A real community where people meet, train, learn and grow stronger together.”
